The Situation

The Delaware Department of Labor, Division of Industrial Affairs runs public events across multiple offices, from Workers' Compensation to Safe DE, each with its own registration needs and audience. Before this system, event registration relied on manual, disconnected processes for creating event pages, tracking sign-ups, sending reminders, and keeping a public calendar current. The Division of Industrial Affairs needed a way for staff to launch and manage events themselves, without engineering support for every new listing.

OUR APPROACH

Our Solution

Tapp built a fully custom event registration and management system inside HubSpot, centered on two custom objects — DOL IA Events and Event Registrations — that drive everything from the public event calendar to automated confirmation and reminder emails. Staff create an event once, and the system handles landing page generation, registration tracking, contact syncing, and lifecycle status changes automatically.

A dynamic HubDB-synced calendar keeps the public-facing schedule accurate in real time, with no manual page building required, and every registration flows into clean, reportable CRM data staff can use to track attendance and measure event performance.
