TrafficCast is a data company that provides travel time forecasting and traffic
information. Their teams develops the technology, applications and content
based on advanced traffic data, serving the interactive, mobile, enterprise
and public sector markets. Their mobile app, TrafficCarma, connects daily
commuters to their real-time traveler information and traffic flow and
incident database, Dynaflow.
TrafficCast identified that TV and radio stations across the U.S. were continuing to lose market share and needed to identify new revenue streams elsewhere. They approached Tapp Network to help develop an application and an API that would allow these media companies to monetize traffic data and traffic reporting in an entirely new way.
Tapp Network assisted with the development of a mobile application called TrafficCarma. The app enabled TV and Radio stations the leverage to crowdsource commuter traffic reports in a way they never could before.
Tapp also developed the API to power TrafficCarma. The API gave TrafficCast the ability to White label data into their own branded commuter traffic app, providing personalized traffic reports. As a result, this led to TrafficCast growing their own brand and audience all while recognizing new revenue streams and sponsorship opportunities across broadcast, satellite, mobile and social media.
As soon as TrafficCast established their white-label partnerships ,(i.e. Fox4 TV in, Dallas TX, iHeartRadio (over 300 radio stations in the top 50 markets), WJLA-TV in DC), they continued to collaborate with Tapp to develop a marketing automation platform on HubSpot to continue marketing this platform to potential white-label partners.
Quality assurance of the end user data as it is correctly connected to real-time metrics that are fed through the system.
